grew up in rural Ohio, half an hour north of Dayton on a five acre hill. She spent her childhood collecting black raspberries, eating peas and tomatoes off the vine, composting, shoveling manure (obtained for free from a nearby farm), and exploring a field with sweet smelling grass taller than her head. Her parents have always been avid organic gardeners and are experts at home preserves. She handles Future Farm finances, social media, websites, perennial food forest planning, pruning, preserving and permaculture design.
grew up in N’awlins. He spent his childhood enjoying everything the Big Easy has to offer. His parents own a successful Interior Decorating and Carpentry business. He honed his carpentry skills on the beautiful hotels of New Orleans, the homes and businesses of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and the extravagant mansions of Cape Cod. Steve is a master carpenter, owner of Fine Carpentry, and a competent hobby mechanic. He keeps the Future Farm 1948 Farmall and the 1984 Toyota pickup running (along with other farm equipment and tools), designs and builds Future Farm infrastructure (greenhouse, goat fencing, chicken coop, you name it), and labors around the farm with Brandy.
is growing up on Future Farm, lucky baby! She is a future farmer and muse for all the goings on here at Future Farm. Living up to expectations, she LOVES being outside and prefers it to all other pacifiers. Aileen is sure to have many fun adventures on Future Farm!
came from NC, where he lost his left front leg as a tiny kitten. He also subsequently had his remaining front claws removed, and has lived his entire life as an indoor cat. He flew to Boston and traveled to Cape Cod to live with us after his previous owner bought the farm. He enjoyed the trip down to MS, exploring hotel rooms and friends homes with his kitty curiosity. Igor keeps an eye on Future Farm day and night from the screened in porch and all available windowsills including our bookshelf library.
